What better way to get in the Halloween spirit than with a little Buffy fan fiction? Write a BTVS Halloween themed one-shot for a chance to win some awesome prizes! Submissions will be accepted from October 3rd - 11:59 pm on October 18th, and will then be posted to my website, The Cynical Slayer, where the public can vote on their favorite story. On October 22rd, the authors of the TWO highest voted stories will win a prize package including a vampire fang ice cube tray, Buffy the Violet Slayer nail polish, a WWBD? sticker, a Cynical Slayer pen, and a finger puppet monster (like the one Tara used in Bargaining, Part 1 to say "Grr Arrgh"). Additonally, anyone who enters will recieve a letter from me and a FREE Buffy pin. Keep the competition civil, and HAVE FUN!
RULES:
1. Stories must be based on characters from BTVS
2. Stories must be based around a Halloween theme
3. The objects CANDY CORN, PUMPKIN and COSTUME must somehow be used in the story
4. Entry must be a ONE-SHOT: at least 1,000 words and no more than 8,000 words in length.
5. Crossovers are allowed
6. Original characters are not allowed
7. Stories may have any rating.
